How to Configure the Main Broadcast Settings

Last updated: 4 December 2024
  1. Go to the Broadcasts section in your edna Pulse account and click Create broadcast.

  2. Enter the broadcast name that will be displayed in your edna Pulse account.

  3. Specify the date and time of sending the broadcast:

    • Send immediately — select this option to send the broadcast immediately after creation.
    • Set date and time — select this option to specify the date and time for sending the broadcast in the future. The time zone selected in the ProfileMy Profile section is used by default. If you want to send the broadcast in a different time zone, select it from the drop-down list.
  4. If necessary, specify a time range for sending the broadcast — the hours during the day when it is allowed to send the broadcast:

    • Do not set — leave this option as default to send the broadcast without taking into account the time range.

    • Set a timeframe and use the clients’ local time — select this option and set the time range in which you want to send the broadcast, taking into account the recipient's local time. If the recipient's local time cannot be determined, the broadcast will be sent within the time zone range selected in the ProfileMy profile section.

    • Set a timeframe and ignore the clients’ local time — select this option and set the time range in which you want to send the broadcast without taking into account the recipient's local time. The broadcast will be sent within the time zone range selected in the ProfileMy profile section.

      info

The time zone for sending messages may differ from the one selected in the ProfileMy Profile section if a different time zone is selected for sending messages in the Timeframe when you want the clients to receive the message option or if the Set a timeframe and use the clients’ local time option is selected and the recipient's local time is specified when sending.

  5. Select the message sending speed — from 1 to 5 messages per second.

    info

The default option is 5 messages per second. The higher the speed, the faster the broadcast is sent. High broadcast speed can cause increased load on your contact center.

  6. If necessary, provide additional information about the broadcast.

  7. Click Continue to proceed to audience selection, or Save to save the draft.
