Viber

A custom template is a message template created based on a registered operator template. It contains the final message text and variables whose values are specified when creating a broadcast. It is used to send messages at a more favorable rate.

How to create a custom template with variables

Quick creation—in the active operator template line, click → Create based on, configure the variables, and save your changes.

1. Go to the Templates → Message templates tab.

2. Make sure you have at least one registered operator template with the status

3. Click Add Template and select Viber.

4. From the drop-down list, select one or more sender names.

   Connected Viber channels are displayed with the status

5. Enter a clear and informative template name that reflects its content. Use only lowercase Latin letters, numbers, and the underscore character—no spaces.

6. Select the Custom template type.

7. From the drop-down list, select a registered operator template on which to base the custom template.

   warning

   A custom template is tied to the sender’s name. Only operator templates registered for the selected sender’s name are available.

8. In the Template Text field, for each variable in the operator template, select how to populate it:

   • Variable — select a recipient variable or add a new one.

   • Text — enter fixed text that will be displayed instead of the variable. The maximum text length is 125 characters.

9. Save the template:

   • Click Save as draft to save the template without activating it. The template will be added to the general list with the status

   • Click Save if the template is ready to use. The template will receive the status

     Active
     and will become available for broadcasts.
