Viber Free Templates

Viber
A free template is a message template that can be created without registering with Viber. Unlike an operator template, a free template has no specific content requirements and can be used to send promotional and other messages.

How to create a free template​

  1. Go to the Templates → Message templates tab.

  2. Click Add Template and select Viber.

  3. From the drop-down list, select one or more sender names.

    Connected Viber channels are displayed with the status

    . The name specified in the Internal channel name parameter when connecting the Viber channel is displayed.

  4. Enter a clear and informative template name that reflects its content. Use only lowercase Latin letters, numbers, and the underscore character—no spaces.

  5. Select the Free template type.

  6. Select the message type from the drop-down list and configure it.

  7. Review the message in the preview window.

  8. Save the template:

    • Click Save as draft to save the template without activating it. The template will be added to the general list with the status

      Draft
      .

    • Click Save if the template is ready to use. The template will receive the status

      Active
      and will become available for broadcasts.

Possible Message Types​

Text​

Enter the message text. To add a variable to the template, place the cursor where you want it, click , and select a variable from the list. If needed, click to add an emoji.

When creating a template, variables are specified without values. Variable values are substituted when creating a broadcast.

Image​

Click Upload from computer and add an image in JPG, JPEG, or PNG format. To add an image via a link, click Insert link.

The recommended image size is 400 × 400 pixels. The maximum size is 25 MB.

Message with button​

Enter the message text and add variables or emojis as needed. Specify the button name and the link that will open when the button is clicked.

To add an image, click Upload from computer or Insert link.

Supported image formats: JPG, JPEG, and PNG. Recommended size: 400 × 400 pixels. Maximum size: 25 MB.

File​

Click Upload from computer → Upload file and select the desired document.

To add a document via a link, click Insert link to file.

Supported formats: DOC, DOCX, TXT, RTF, DOT, DOTX, ODT, ODF, FODT, INFO, PDF, XLS, XLSX, XPS, PDAX, and EPS. The maximum file size is 25 MB.
