How to Connect a WhatsApp Channel

Add a WhatsApp Channel to your edna Pulse Account​

  1. Go to the Channels section in your edna Pulse account.

  2. Click Add channel and select WhatsApp.

  3. Ensure that you meet the necessary requirements to register a WhatsApp Business account.

    Requirements for registering a WhatsApp Business account

    • You have a personal Facebook account.

    • You have created a business portfolio for your company.

    • You have a phone number to register a WhatsApp Business account. The number should not be linked to other WhatsApp accounts.

    • You can receive international calls or SMS messages to the specified number for verification.

    • Pop-up blockers are disabled in your browser.

  4. Specify the required WhatsApp channel settings:

    • Internal channel name — enter the internal name of the channel. It will be displayed in the list of channels in your edna Pulse account.

      For example, “WhatsApp for marketing”.

    • Tariff for channel — select one of the available tariffs for the channel from the drop-down list.

  5. Click Next.

  6. Specify the parameters that will be displayed in your company's WhatsApp Business profile and represent your account to customers:

    • Company logo — upload an image for your company logo in JPG or JPEG format and click Save. The minimum size is 400*400 px.

    • (Optional) WhatsApp account status — add additional information about the status of your WhatsApp Business account.

      For example, “Always available”.

    • (Optional) Company email address — enter your company's email address.

    • (Optional) Company address — enter the company address.

      tip

      To change these settings after connecting the channel, send a request to edna support.

  7. Review the pricing terms and ensure that you have sufficient funds in your edna Pulse account balance after connecting the WhatsApp channel.

  8. Click Continue with Facebook to proceed to the WhatsApp Business account registration.

    tip

    Registration usually takes about 5 minutes.

Register your WhatsApp Business account​

tip

If you have any questions during registration, send a request to [email protected].

  1. Switch to or log in to the desired Facebook account.

  2. Click Continue to grant edna permission to manage your WhatsApp Business account.

  3. Select your company's properties and click Next:

    • Business portfolio — select or create a business portfolio for your company.

      tip

      When you select an existing business portfolio, your company information will be filled in automatically.

    • WhatsApp Business account — select the option to create a WhatsApp Business account.

  4. Enter your company information and click Next.

  5. Add a phone number, enter your WhatsApp Business display name, select a number verification method, and click Next.

    tip

    Make sure that the number you entered is not registered to an existing WhatsApp account and that it can receive international phone calls or SMS messages.

    The recommended method for verifying your number is by phone call.

  6. Verify the number using the selected method and click Next.

    tip

    You have three attempts to verify your number. You can try again in four hours, and then again in 24 hours.

    If you are unable to receive the code or want to know your incoming call numbers, send a request to edna support.

  7. Click Finish to save your data and complete registration.

After registering your WhatsApp Business account on Meta, the WhatsApp channel will change to

Enable the Marketing Messages API for your WhatsApp Business Account​

In the Home section of your edna Pulse account, click Accept the terms on Facebook to go to WhatsApp Manager and accept the terms of use for the Marketing Messages API for your WhatsApp Business account.

Troubleshooting​

WhatsApp Business account is blocked​

Choose a different WhatsApp Business account or visit the Business Support Center to resolve the issue. developers.facebook.com

If your business account has been blocked due to a violation, follow the instructions:

Maximum number of numbers linked to WhatsApp Business account​

Delete the required phone numbers from your WhatsApp Business account. developers.facebook.com

Number is already registered with an existing WhatsApp Business account​

To use this phone number, disconnect it from your existing WhatsApp Business account.

tip

Send a request to [email protected] to disable two-factor authentication on an existing WhatsApp Business account.

If the issue persists, delete the number from your WhatsApp Business account.

Not allowed to create WhatsApp Business accounts​

The Facebook user may have been blocked from logging in to Facebook from a new device. When you try to log in, you will see a message saying that the block is temporary. Wait for the temporary block to be lifted.

Registration error on mobile phone​

Use your computer’s browser to register.
