How to Connect a WhatsApp Business App Channel

Connecting a channel in your edna Pulse Account

Go to the Channels section.

Click Add channel and select WhatsApp Business App.

Make sure you meet the necessary requirements for connection.
Requirements for connecting a WhatsApp Business App channel
- You have an active WhatsApp Business account associated with the phone number you’re connecting and administrator rights in the Meta Business Portfolio. How to Create a Business Portfolio for a Company
- Pop-up blocking is disabled in your browser.
- The Facebook website opens on your device.

Specify the required settings for the WhatsApp Business App channel:

Internal channel name — enter the internal name of the channel. This will appear in the list of channels in your edna Pulse account.
For example, “WhatsApp BA for Marketing.”

Tariff for channel — select one of the available channel plans from the drop-down list.

Click Continue with Facebook and link your WhatsApp Business account to edna Pulse.

Until Meta completes its verification, the channel will display the status

Step 1. Start the registration process in the embedded window
Have your device with the WhatsApp Business app ready—you’ll need it to confirm the connection in the following steps.

Log in to the desired Facebook account or switch to it.

Click Continue → Get started to grant edna access to manage your WhatsApp Business account.

Select a business portfolio and click Next.
infoThe interface may vary at this step. In addition to selecting a business portfolio, you may see options to create a new WhatsApp Business account or connect an existing WhatsApp Business app. In this case, click Connect WhatsApp Business App.

Select Connect an existing WhatsApp Business app and click Next.

Enter the phone number linked to your WhatsApp Business account in international format and click Next.
infoIn the WhatsApp Business app, you’ll receive a message from the Facebook* Business contact requesting to link your account.

Link your WhatsApp Business account to edna Pulse using one of the following methods:
- scan the QR code;
- click Use access code to get an access code.

If you chose the access code in the previous step, copy it to enter it in the WhatsApp Business app.
Step 2. Confirm the connection in the WhatsApp Business app

Open the WhatsApp Business app.

In the message from your Facebook Business contact , tap Connect → Connect to the WhatsApp Business platform.
tipAlternatively, in the WhatsApp Business app, go to Settings → Account → Business Platform and tap Connect to the WhatsApp Business Platform.

Tap Share all chats → Confirm to grant access to your chat history.

If you previously selected an access code, enter it, wait for the connection to complete, and tap OK.
Step 3. Complete registration
- Return to the built-in registration window in edna Pulse.
- Check your account name and time zone, then click Next.
- Click Confirm → Finish.
How to disable the WhatsApp Business App channel
- Open the WhatsApp Business app linked to the WhatsApp Business App channel in edna Pulse.
- Go to Settings → Account → WhatsApp Business Platform.
- Select edna and tap Disable → Next → Disable.
After disabling the channel, the associated WhatsApp license will be deactivated. When you reconnect the number, a new license will be created, which you’ll need to pay for separately.
